MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State football program has added 16 student-athletes on offense for the 2013 season. The list includes eight linemen, three quarterbacks, two running backs, two wide receivers and one tight end.

"We are very excited about all of the student-athletes in our 2013 recruiting class," said Rob Tenyer, who begins his first season as head coach after 12 years as an MSU assistant. "We've had a lot of offensive success in recent years, and we feel like this group can help us build on that."

Morehead State opens its 12-game schedule on Aug. 29 when Pikeville (Ky.) visits Jayne Stadium at 7 p.m. ET. The Eagles will also host Ohio Valley Conference foe Eastern Kentucky, Davidson, Dayton, San Diego, Butler and Charlotte during the upcoming campaign.

"These young men have certainly accomplished a lot in their high school careers," Tenyer said. "This is a new chapter for all of them and it should be an exciting one. We are happy these individuals chose Morehead State for their college education and a quality football experience."
