AS A SENIOR (2019)
During the year, became the program career record holder in games played, at-bats, plate appearances, runs scored, hits, doubles and singles and finished ranking in the top five all-time in OVC history in hits ... Named Second-Team All-OVC ... Batted .327 with 16 doubles ... Had 32 RBI and stole nine bases ... Compiled 23 multi-hit games ... Put together a 34-game reached-base streak ... Batted 9-for-15 with three RBI in the series against Eastern Illinois.

AS A JUNIOR (2018)
Named one of five finalists for the Brooks Wallace Award … Named First-Team All-OVC … Started all 62 games in which he appeared … Made 60 starts at shortstop and two at third … Established a new school-record by reaching base safely in 50 consecutive games … Hit .344 with 65 runs, 86 hits, 14 doubles, two triples, four home runs, 40 RBI, and 116 total bases … Ranked fourth in the OVC in on-base percentage at .468 … Ranked third in the OVC and 10^th in the NCAA, drawing 55 walks … Tied a career-high with five hits versus Southeast Missouri on 5/24/18 … Notched a career-high four runs scored on two occasions … Drove in a season-high four runs versus UT Martin on 4/6/18 … Had 26 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI games … Carried a season-high 12 game hitting streak.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2017)
Named Second-Team All-OVC … Ranked third in the conference in doubles (21) and sixth in assists (142) ... Started 58 games and saw action in 59 games ... Hit .328 with 54 runs, 83 hits, 21 doubles, two home runs, and 48 RBI  … Had 23 multi-hit games ... Led the team with the longest hitting streak (13) … Tallied 27 hits from April 14-May 6.

AS A FRESHMAN (2016)
Named Second-Team All-OVC, OVC All-Newcomer and to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American Team … Named to the Brooks Wallace Award Watch List for nation's top shortstop ... Saw action in 54 games while starting 53 … Hit .344, collected 39 runs, 78 hits, 12 doubles and 32 RBI’s … Posted .396 slugging percentage … Only struck out 18 times in 227 at-bats … Ranked third on the team with 23 multiple-hit games, including two four-hit games (at Eastern Kentucky on April 3 and against UT Martin on April 17).

HIGH SCHOOL
Was rated the best middle infielder in Virginia and the 16^th best middle man in the nation by Perfect Game ... In addition, the organization rated Leonard as an Underclass High Honorable Mention in 2014 and Honorable Mention in 2013 ... Batted .449 as a freshman, helping Benedictine to the state title game ... Hit .424 as a sophomore when he was named Second-Team All-State ... Batted .387 as a junior ... In summer ball, Leonard struck out only one time in 107 plate appearances ... Father, Jack, was drafted in 1979 by the Baltimore Orioles and again in 1980 by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
