Junior guard Almesha Jones of the women's basketball team has been named this week’s Female Pepsi Student-Athlete of the Week.

Jones averaged 19 points per game last week. The Cincinnati, Ohio native has scored 18.6 points and dished out 6.4 assists per game in her last five contests. She has also scored 20 or more points three times in her last five contests.

It is the first honor of the season for Jones.
