Todd Mitmesser

Todd Mitmesser is in his first season as assistant coach for the women's basketball team.

He joins Morehead State after two seasons at the helm of Division II's Hillsdale Chargers. Mitmesser guided Hillsdale to the program's second winning season in five years in 2016-17.

Like Todd, Mitmesser began his head coaching career at the high school level – claiming a state championship at Nebraska's Lincoln East High School in 2003-04. Mitmesser's relationship with Todd goes back to Berea Community High School in Todd's hometown of Berea, Ky.

From 2005 to 2008, Mitmesser was part of an Evansville staff that won a Missouri Valley Conference championship in 2007-08. Mitmesser began a three-year run with Toledo the next season, culminating with both a Mid-American Conference championship and a Women's National Invitational Tournament crown in 2010-11.

Mitmesser's final stop before taking over Hillsdale came at Stony Brook, where was a Seawolves assistant coach from 2012 to 2015.
