Morehead State University Athletics

Carl Deaton was a member of the cross country and track teams for Morehead State from 1950-54. He was a key member of MSU championship track teams. He was named Kentucky’s Trackman of the Year in 1954.

Deaton is a former Ohio Valley Conference record holder in several events, including the half mile and mile runs. He was recognized as one of the top cross country stars in the south during his Eagle career.
