Charles Dudley Caudill played baseball for Morehead State from 1955-58. He was an outstanding catcher for the Eagle baseball teams of the late 1950’s.

Caudill was a member of the 1957 team the won the Ohio Valley Conference Eastern Division Championship and went on to win the playoffs for MSU’s first OVC baseball crown. He made a name for himself by rewriting the record books at Morehead State. As of 2012 he still holds the record for the highest slugging percentage in a season with a .884 mark. He also holds the existing record for the highest batting average in a season at .488, a marked that ranked second in the nation in 1958.
