Dayle (Hamontree) Harms played volleyball for Morehead State from 1987-90. She is considered one of the best volleyball players in the history of MSU and the Ohio Valley Conference.

Harms lettered in all four of her seasons at MSU. She was a four-time All-OVC First-Team selection. In 1987, as a freshman, she helped lead MSU to the OVC championship. She was the first OVC women’s volleyball player to ever win Player of the Year honors in two consecutive years by doing so in 1988 and 1989. She also was the Most Valuable Player of the 1988 OVC Tournament.

In 1989, Harms set a then-NCAA record with 49 digs in a three-game match against Tennessee Tech. She ranks at or near the top in many of the MSU and OVC career, season and individual match records’ categories.
