Drew Hall was an All-American baseball player for Morehead State from 1982-84. Hall was a member of the 1984 College Second-Team All-American Team. He was an outstanding left-handed pitcher who went on to play professionally after his playing days at Morehead State.

Some of Hall’s notable records he held at the time of his induction were most strikeouts in a game (19 vs. Eastern Kentucky) and most career strikeouts (202). Hall is a native of Ashland, Ky.

In 1984, Hall was a member of the 30-man Olympic baseball roster. While at training camp for the Olympic team, he signed a contract to play professionally for the Chicago Cubs. The contract allowed him to remain as amateur status until the conclusion of the Olympics. Hall was drafted in the first round by the Cubs, one round before 300 game-winner Greg Maddux. He is still the highest draft pick by a Major League Baseball team in the state of Kentucky. In the majors he went 9-12 with a 5.21 earned run average with 148 strikeouts.

Hall returned to his alma mater in 2008 to serve one year as the pitching coach for the Eagles under Coach Jay Sorg. He now works with area baseball teams.
