Earl Duncan was the first All-American basketball player for Morehead State. He played for the Eagles from 1939-43. He is a member of the elite 1,000 point club at MSU.
At the time of his induction, Duncan ranked ninth on MSU’s all-time scoring list with 1,430 points. He was named First-Team All-Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference three times. The forward averaged 19.3 points a game during his collegiate career.
A native of Georgetown, Ky., Duncan led all Kentucky scorers during the 1942 and 1943 campaigns. His single best performance came against Marshall when he scorched the nets for 35 points. He helped led the Eagles to the KIAC title in 1940-41.
