Glendon Stanley played football and basketball for Morehead State in the late 1930’s. He lettered in football from 1937 to 1939 and lettered one year for basketball in 1937-38. During his career, MSU football teams went 18-4-1.
A native of Ashland, Ky., Stanley was a speedy and deceptive quarterback. He also played defensive back and served as MSU’s punter. MSU opened the 1938 season with a 7-0 victory at Cincinnati thanks to a 45-yard touchdown run by Stanley.
