Gordon Moore served Morehead State in both an official and unofficial capacity. He spent a short time as an assistant in the University’s public relations office where he provided information on the Eagle athletic teams.
Moore also contributed to MSU as a writer. He was the author of hundreds of articles for newspapers such as the Louisville Courier-Journal, the Lexington Herald, the Lexington Leader, the Ashland Daily Independent and the Huntington Herald-Dispatch.
Moore worked many years as a school administrator. He served as a principle, athletic director, coach, and teacher in Floyd County (Ky.) and other school systems. He earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Morehead State.
