Jim Brockman played baseball for Morehead State from 1974-77. He was the starting shortstop all four years. He is one of the only athletes to ever earn All-Ohio Valley Conference First-Team honors four times.
Brockman was a career .316 hitter who scored 135 runs. He smacked 29 doubles and hammered nine home runs. He also had an above average range and throwing ability. He was a member of the MSU’s 1977 OVC Championship squad that participated in the NCAA Regionals in Miami, Fla.
Brockman is currently serving as a math teacher at Rowan Country Senior High School.
