Josh Teater played for the men’s golf team at Morehead State from 1997 to 2000. Teater is currently a member of the Professional Golf Association (PGA) Tour

Teater’s best year at MSU came in 1999 when he led the Eagles to their fifth Ohio Valley Conference title. At the OVC Championships he finished tied for fifth individually and was named to the All-Tournament team.

Teater became a professional golfer in 2002, starting on the Hooters Tour. He barely missed qualifying for the PGA tour at the 2009 Qualifying, or Q school, but his finish enabled him to join the Nationwide Tour for the 2009 season. He earned a PGA Tour card for the 2010 season when he won the Utah Championship, which moved him into eighth place on the winning list for the Nationwide Tour.

In his rookie season in 2010, Teater earned more than $1,000,000. That season he finished in the top 10 twice and in the top 25 on eight occasions. His best finish came at the Turning Stone Resort Championship when he finished tied for third.

A native of Danville Ky., Teater has qualified for the U.S. Open, the Open Championship and the PGA Tour Championship.
