Lauren Rust was a four-year starter and letterwinner for the Eagle volleyball team from 1995-98. She was a three-time All-Ohio Valley Conference First-Team selection.
Rust also was an All-OVC Second-Team selection once and an All-OVC Tournament team selection. At the time of her induction in 2008 she was the all-time leader in kills. She ranked in the top 25 nationally in career kills. She held MSU career and single-season records for kills and total attacks. She also led MSU in kills and total attacks for four consecutive seasons.
Rust was selected for the National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, one of only 30 selected. She was also honored by being named Academic All-District her senior season.
Rust earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from MSU and currently is the Associate Director of the Advising Center at the University of Louisville.
