Mark Ledford played football for Morehead State from 1980-83. He was the leading receiver in the Ohio Valley Conference his senior season when he posted 74 receptions for 948 yards with two touchdowns.
Ledford was selected First-Team All-OVC in 1982 and 1983. He set numerous receiving records for the Eagles during his playing career. He was known for his long receptions, the longest being a 53 yards during his senior season. His best performance came against Youngstown State in 1983. In that game he hauled in 11 receptions for 218 yards. He was also named team caption for the 1983 season.
A native of Mt. Sterling Ky., Ledford graduated from Morehead State with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management in 1984.
