Myron Williams played basketball for Morehead State from 1959-62. He was known as one of the most prolific scorers in Eagle basketball history during his career at MSU.
Williams was the third Eagle to score more than 700 points in a single season (705 in 1960-61). He was named All-Ohio Valley Conference twice at MSU. He set the record for most field goal attempts in a game (37) and a career (1544) and field goals made in a game (22).
At the time of his induction, Williams ranked seventh on MSU’s all-time scoring list having compiled 1,637 points in three varsity seasons. He led Morehead State in scoring in 1960-61 (22.7) and 1961-62 (26.0). He scored a career high 48 points against Miami (Fla.) during his 1961-62 campaign.
