Robert Brashear was a standout linebacker and lineman for Eagle football teams in the 1930’s. He earned letters in 1932, 1933, 1934, and 1936 for MSU teams that combined for an 11-11-4 record. The 1936 team finished 4-1-2, losing only in its opening game and ending the season with a 14-7 victory over Louisville.
Brashear was a native of Buckhorn, Ky., and was one of the fiercest tacklers of his time.
