Morehead State University Athletics

Roy Bailey played football for Morehead state from 1937-41. He graduated from MSU with a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in education.

Bailey served as a pilot in the United State Air Force during World War II. His plane was shot down over Holland where the Germans captured him and his crew. Bailey was a prisoner of war until the end of the war.

He passed away on Feb. 6, 2009.
