Terry Jacobs is the father of two former Morehead State football players, Howard and Jeff Jacobs. Howard was a standout center for the Eagles, while Jeff was an outstanding offensive guard for MSU. Jacobs has been a staunch supporter of Eagle athletics since the time his sons played for the University. Jacobs donated a large sum of money to the athletic department that was used for a new scoreboard for the football stadium, paid for half of the new turf for the field and for the new training center.

A native of Newport, Ky., Jacobs was the founder and CEO of Jacor Communications located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jacor was a media corporation which owned a large number of the radio stations in the United States. He sold the company to Sam Zell in 1992. Zell ran the company from 1992-97. The company was then sold to Clear Channel Communications. Clear Channel is known for being the largest owner of radio stations in America.

Jacobs’s next big endeavor was forming the JFP Group, LLC, which is a large real estate development company. Since September of 2005 he has served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the group. He was also the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Jamos Capital, LLC, which is a private equity firm specializing in alternative investment strategies. He served in that capacity from 1996 to 2005.

Jacobs is also the director of American Financial Group, Inc. AFG is primarily engaged in property and casualty insurance, focusing on specialized commercial products for businesses, and in the sale of annuities and supplemental insurance products. He continues to be one of the top financial supporters of Eagle athletics.
