RESULTS FOR ROUNDS 1&2
PINEVILLE, Ky.—Morehead State University men’s golf is in fourth place after two rounds of the Wasioto Winds Fall Kick-off Tournament being played at the Wasioto Winds Golf Club. The 10-team field played 36 holes Monday and will conclude the 54-hole event Tuesday.
Dean Schneider leads the way for the Eagles and is tied for fourth overall with a 140 (73-67). Schneider’s 67 was the low score for the second round. All but one Eagle player equalized or bettered their score from round one to round two, led by Schneider’s six-stroke improvement. MSU posted the lowest second round score and has a 584 (297-287), just six strokes off the lead.
Thomas Reddick carded a 144 (74-70) to earn a tie for 10th overall and Jeff Pierce scored a 148 (74-74) to place third for MSU and tied for 23rd overall.
Alex Misback and Jared Flanery were within one stroke of each other, checking in with a 153 and 154 respectively. Misback (76-77) is tied for 43rd and Flanery (78-76) is tied for 49th.
The Eagles also have three individuals competing. Alex Wright is currently tied for 17th overall with a 146 (73-73). Tied at 25th overall is Daniel Iceman with a 149 (75-74). Joseph Haydon rounded out the MSU individuals with a 160 (82-78) to place 61st overall.
John A. Logan Community College currently leads the field with a 578 (287-291). Northern Kentucky has the lowest round among the four-year institutions with a 579 (291-288). Queens University’s Braeden Cryderman and Southern Illinois’ Jordan Cox are tied for the lead with a 137. UT-Martin’s Ryan DuLaney, playing in his first collegiate tournament, had the best shot so far, carding a hole-in-one on No. 8.
