MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Defensive end Jerome Raymond will represent Morehead State on Saturday at the 2011 Football Championship Subdivision Senior Scout Bowl in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Kick-off from Doug Shaw Stadium is set for 2 p.m. ET.
The FCS Senior Scout Bowl, which is presented by the Collegiate Development Football League (CDFL), showcases the talent of senior football players at the conclusion of each season. Over eighty players will compose two teams in a North vs. South format All-Star game.
Raymond was named to the 2011 All-Pioneer Football League First Team. As a senior, he finished fourth in the league with 11.5 sacks and eighth with 15.5 tackles for loss.
Raymond also forced a pair of fumbles and blocked a kick. He closes out his career with 27 sacks and 41 tackles for loss to rank among Morehead State’s all-time best defenders.
Linebacker Tony Bachman was also invited to the 2011 FCS Senior Scout Bowl, but will not be able to participate due to an injury in MSU’s regular-season finale.
Bachman was named to the 2011 All-PFL Second Team. As a senior, he collected 107 tackles to rank second in the league with 9.7 stops per game.
Bachman finishes his four seasons in an Eagle uniform with a school-record 304 tackles.
