MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State men’s basketball program (4-5) will look for its seventh consecutive home victory on Wednesday when it welcomes Missouri Valley Conference opponent Illinois State (5-3) to Johnson Arena for a 7 p.m. ET contest.

The game will be webcast live on OVCSports.TV.  It will also be broadcast on the Eagle Sports Network, which includes four affiliates in Eastern Kentucky and MSUEagles.com.

Morehead State has not dropped a regular-season game on its home floor since Jan. 22, 2011.  The Eagles have defeated Ohio Valley Conference foes Tennessee State, Austin Peay, Eastern Illinois and Southeast Missouri, along with non-conference opponents Asbury (Ky.) and Mid-Continent (Ky.) since that point.

Illinois State has posted victories over SIU Edwardsville, Lipscomb, Rutgers, Bethune-Cookman and Chicago State in 2011-12.  The Redbirds went 12-19 overall and 4-14 in the MVC a season ago.  ISU owns six NCAA Tournament appearances in school history and has played in the postseason three of the past four years.

Morehead State is led by senior Terrance Hill (13.4 ppg), junior Milton Chavis (5.2 rpg) and senior Lamont Austin (2.6 apg).  Junior Marsell Holden paced the Eagles with a team-high 20 points off the bench in Sunday’s win over Mid-Continent.

Illinois State is led by junior Jackie Carmichael (12.4 ppg, 8.3 rpg) and freshman Nic Moore (4.0 apg).  Carmichael paced the Redbirds with 15 points and 13 rebounds on Saturday against UNC Wilmington.

Donnie Tyndall is in his sixth season as the head coach at Morehead State (100-75, .571) and his seventh year in charge of a college basketball program (130-80, .619).

Tim Jankovich is in his fifth season as the head coach at Illinois State (88-53, .624) and his eighth year in charge of a college basketball program (141-110, .562).

Illinois State owns a 4-1 advantage in the all-time series and has won the past four meetings against Morehead State.
