MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State continues Pioneer Football League action on Saturday at Dayton. Kick-off from Welcome Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET. It will be the 18th meeting between MSU and UD in a series that began in 1996.
Morehead State, 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the PFL, dropped a 38-17 decision to Jacksonville last Saturday. Dayton, 2-4 on the campaign and 1-2 in conference action, posted a 38-3 victory over Davidson a week ago.

THE STANDARDS HE ALREADY HAS
Senior Zach Lewis, who has completed 787-of-1,285 attempts for 8,557 yards and 56 touchdowns in 34 games, has already set the Morehead State career records for completions and TD passes. He also owns the Pioneer Football League standard for completions.
THE MARKS HE IS STILL CHASING
Zach Lewis needs just 123 attempts and 472 yards to break the Morehead State career passing records currently held by Chris Swartz (1987-90).
DON’T FORGET ABOUT MY RECORDS
Senior Donte Sawyer, who has tallied 151 receptions for 1,857 yards and 19 touchdowns in 37 games, has already set MSU’s career TD catches record. He needs just 16 catches to pass Jerome Williams (1987-90) and 139 receiving yards to pass John High (1968-71).
SERVING ALL PURPOSES
Donte Sawyer leads the Pioneer Football League with 129.6 all-purpose yards per outing. The average includes 326 receiving yards, 307 on kick returns and 15 on the ground.
TOP 10 IN THE RUSHING DEPARTMENT
Morehead State sophomore Rees Macshara ranks fourth in the Pioneer Football League with 54.6 rushing yards per tilt. His career best of 132 yards came Sept. 22 at Drake.
JUMPING OUT TO BIG LEADS
Morehead State led 17-0 on Sept. 15 against Saint Francis (Pa.), 14-0 on Sept. 22 at Drake and 14-0 on Oct. 6 versus Jacksonville, but lost all three contests. The Eagles have outscored their opponents, 62-10, in the first quarter this season.
FLYING TO THE BALL
Morehead State has had 36 different players make a tackle in the first five games this season. Sophomore linebacker Jordan Hendrix leads the Pioneer Football League with 13.0 tackles per game, while sophomore linebacker Dillion Blackburn ranks second with 10.8.
CRACKING DOUBLE FIGURES
Five Morehead State defenders have recorded 10+ tackles in a game this season. Jordan Hendrix leads the way with four double-figure performances, while Dillion Blackburn has two and three defensive backs -- senior Kameron Scott, junior John Coleman and sophomore Zachary Senvisky -- own one each.
ALREADY IN THE RECORD BOOK
Senior kicker Rainer Duzan owns Morehead State career records for points by a kicker (219), made field goals (36) and successful extra points (111). He is the Pioneer Football League’s active career leader in all three categories.
PLAYERS FROM THE BUCKEYE STATE
Morehead State has 102 players on its football roster, including 37 (or 36.2 percent)from the state of Ohio. By comparison, 67 of Dayton’s 116 players (or 57.8 percent) are from the Buckeye State.
