MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State senior Rainer Duzan has been honored by the Fred Mitchell Award as one of the Football Championship Subdivision’s top nine kickers during the month of September.

The list features individuals who excel both on the field and in their communities.  It also includes nine kickers from Division II, 10 from Division III, two from NAIA and one from NJCAA.

Duzan, a native of Dublin, Ohio, leads all active Pioneer Football League kickers with 214 career points.  He has connected on 5-of-6 FG attempts this season and 13-of-14 PAT tries.

Duzan, who was tabbed by three different organizations as a Preseason All-PFL kicker, is a member of the Fred Mitchell Award Watch List, which recognizes the nation’s top FCS kicker.

Off the field, Duzan is a member of MSU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.  He has also volunteered with Freshman Move-In Day and Earth Week Clean-Up, among other projects.

Morehead State hosts PFL foe Jacksonville on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.
