Duzan Earns Academic All-League Honors

DUZAN BIO | FINAL STATISTICS

MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State senior kicker/punter Rainer Duzan has been named to the Academic All-Pioneer Football League First Team.  This marks the second time in as many years that Duzan has won the honor.

Duzan, a native of Dublin, Ohio, has maintained a 3.54 grade point average as an accounting major at Morehead State.  He is expected to graduate in the spring of 2013.

Duzan re-wrote the MSU record book by establishing career standards for field goals (36), field-goal attempts (53), extra points (150), extra-point tries (156) and points by a kicker (258).

This past season, Duzan set the bar for most extra points made and attempted by drilling 54-of-57.  He also posted a career-long field goal of 50 yards.

Duzan has been recognized by the PFL for his athletic achievements each of the past two years.  He was a first-team selection in 2011 and second-team choice in 2012.

Duzan was tabbed as an All-PFL kicker by three different organizations prior to the 2012 campaign.  He recently landed a spot on the Fred Mitchell Award Watch List, which recognizes the top eight kickers in the Football Championship Subdivision.

Morehead State finished the campaign 4-7 overall and 3-5 in the PFL.  The Eagles won three of their last four contests after beginning the year 1-6.
