MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Athletics has unveiled a new smartphone app in conjunction with its Eagle Army student incentive program. The MSU Eagle Army Rewards App allows students to earn rewards by checking in at MSU athletic events.
"We are excited to give our students an interactive new way to get involved in the Eagle Army," Assistant Athletic Director for External Affairs Darian Westerfield said. "We feel this new system will make it easier for our students to track and receive their rewards while helping to drive student attendance at our events."
The app, which was developed by SuperFanU and is free to download through both
iTunes and the
Google play store, tracks what events each student has attended, how many points they have earned and which rewards they have unlocked. There is a leaderboard that will show which students have attended the most events, as well as integration with social media accounts and links to live audio broadcasts.
MSU Athletics has also partnered with the Office of Student Housing to reward the residence hall with the most participation in the program. The residence hall with the highest percentage of students downloading the app will be entered into a drawing for 10 free iPads, with one going to the highest scoring student in that hall.

8 Points - Eagle Army rally towel
14 Points - Eagle Army t-shirt
20 Points - Eagle Army hat
26 Points - Eagle Army hoodie
32 Points - Enter a drawing for a big screen TV
