MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State freshman Karina Manz has been named Ohio Valley Conference co-Female Track Athlete of the Week. It marks the second weekly league honor for the Hardt, Germany native this season.
Manz won the 10,000 meter-run at the Tennessee Relays last weekend. Her time of 36:23.26 was a personal best and is currently the top mark in the OVC this year. She also ranks 40
th in the NCAA East Region.
She also owns the team's season-best times in the 1,500-meter, 3,000-meter and 5,000-meter events in 2014. She earned her first award on April 2.
Both MSU track squads will be back in action Friday and Saturday at the Bluegrass Invitational in Lexington.
