MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State's cross country teams both competed at the Greater Louisville Classic Saturday at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.
Senior
Jorge Gil-Juarez once again led the men's team, covering the 8K course in 25:24.12. The women were led by freshman
Kansas Greenwell for the fourth straight event. Greenwell ran the 5K course in 18:46.63. Freshman
Justin Moakler turned in a time of 25:56.60 to finish second for the men.
Junior
Mackenzie Butler finished second among the Eagle women, running the course in 18:53.31.
The men finished 23rd, while the women were 30th in the top-seeded races of the day.
Both teams are idle for two weeks before returning to the same course at Sawyer State Park for the NCAA "Pre-National" meet.
