MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Several Morehead State track and field athletes established personal bests this weekend as the Eagles competed at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational in Cincinnati.

On the women's side, junior Alex Morris took third place in the 1,500-meter run with a personal-best time of 4:42.11. Her mark is the eighth-best time in the Ohio Valley Conference so far in the outdoor season.

Junior Erica Parks also set a personal-record in the 1,500-meter event, crossing the line in fifth place at 4:47.58.

Sophomores Taylor Montgomery and Alyssa Shifflett both set personal-records in the 10,000-meter run. Montgomery was fifth at 38:46.02, while Shifflett was close behind at 39:07.63.

For the men, junior Clay Dixon trimmed some off his personal-record time in the 800-meter run. He took seventh place at 1:57.28.

The squads will split up Saturday to attend a pair of meets. The men will stay in Kentucky to compete at the Bellarmine Invitational in Louisville, while the women will take part in the Cherry Blossom Invitational at Ohio University.
