MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State women's track and field team competed Saturday at the Cherry Blossom Invitational at Ohio University.
Lauren Best, Mya Faris and Gloria Corona-Luna finished ninth, 10th and 11, respectively, in the 800-meter run. Best led the Eagle contingent with a time of 2:32.74.
Jasmyn Andrews and Mackenzie Butler took part in the 1,500-meter run, with Andrews taking seventh place (4:53.78) and Butler coming in next in eighth (4:55.21). Freshman Shantale Collins participated in the 200 and 400-meter dash races. Fellow freshman Samantha Lay took fourth place in the triple jump.
The Eagles will be back in action Friday and Saturday at the Bellarmine Invitational in Louisville.
