A fan's guide to following the Eagles this fall

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- With fall sports seasons already underway and the football team kicking off this week, Morehead State athletics wants to make sure fans know how and where to catch all the action on the airwaves.

WIVY 96.3 FM is once again the flagship radio station of Eagle athletics, carrying all 11 football games this fall. The Ohio Valley Conference Digital Network is also back in full gear for a fifth season, and the EagleVision crew has 21 home events set for the fall, including all six football games at Jayne Stadium as well as more than half the home contests for volleyball and soccer. All events can be viewed for free on desktop, as well as most mobile, devices.

Last year the OVCDN launched two features that made viewing even more user-friendly for users. A DVR function was incorporated into the stream, allowing the viewer to rewind and/or fast forward to any point of the contest while it is live. Fans could previously only rewind the stream 30 seconds. The other function was an "instant archiving" feature that allowed fans to watch a replay of the contest immediately after the event concludes. Last year, the OVC also launched a channel for the OVC Digital Network on the Roku Streaming Player, giving viewers an easier option to watch the network directly on their television sets.

WIVY will air every football game, with the pre-game show beginning 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Veteran voice Chuck Mraz will again call the play-by-play, along with longtime analyst Jason Blanton back in the booth. Former Morehead State golf student-athlete and Rowan County native Jared Stacy will be the sideline reporter for football as well as handle play-by-play duties for a majority of home soccer and volleyball matches on the OVCDN. In addition, fans can listen online via the EagleEmpire app (can be downloaded in the Apple App Store or Google Play) or via live audio links on MSUEagles.com. WIVY also has live streaming on its website and an app to listen on mobile devices.

The Eagle Sports Radio Network also has several affiliates in Eastern Kentucky, bringing the reach of Eagle football to millions of radios in the tri-state area. Affiliates include: WMST 106.9 FM and 1150 AM (Mt. Sterling), WKYH 600 AM (Paintsville), WSIP 98.9 FM (select games - Paintsville), WUGO 99.7 FM (Grayson) and WCBJ 103.7 FM (Campton).

Most contests also feature live stats. Morehead State uses StatBroadcast for home games, a user-friendly interface that allows fans a multitude of stats screens.
