Women's Golf Can't Overcome Slow Start at the Bill Berg Invitational

HAYESVILLE, N.C. –
Women's golf shoots final-round 308 to conclude play at the WCU Bill Berg Invitational. The Eagles finished the two-day event carding scores of 329-329-308-966 to finish 14th.

Junior Ana Dieguez led all Eagle golfers carding a season-low 74 in Tuesday's final round. For the event, Dieguez carded 82-80-74-236 to finish tied for 28th.

Sophomore Gypsie Hutchinson shot 81-81-79-241 to finish tied for 46th. Freshman Barbara Roether (85-80-79-244) finished tied for 51st, while seniors Sarah Debnekoff (81-88-76-245) and Ebba Gustafsson (90-92-83-265) finished tied for 55th and 78th, respectively.

The Eagles will conclude the fall portion of their schedule as they travel to compete in the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational. The three-day event will run from Sunday to Tuesday at Lakewood Ranch in Bradenton, Fla.
