RESULTS
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- A pair of top 20 rifle squads faced off Saturday as the No. 16 Morehead State Eagles shot against No. 3 Kentucky. The Wildcats outgunned the Eagles 4714-4625.
A quartet of Eagles broke the 580 barrier in air rifle, led by sophomore
Karly Potts with a 583. It was the third 583 total for her in four matches. Sophomore
Jesse Moyer fired a 582 (tying her season high), while freshman
Ryan Hinson was right behind at 581. Junior
Siarra Crum carded a 580. As a team, the Eagles registered a 2326 air total.
In smallbore, junior
Brandon Bryer and Moyer each fired a 579 (Moyer's was a season high), and senior
Haley Wilson turned in a season-best 578. Fellow senior
Seth Baker shot a 576 today for his season best so far.
The Eagles' 2299 smallbore total was a team season high.
Morehead State will have it home opener next weekend when North Georgia visits the Button Rifle Range.
