GAME NOTES
BUFFALO, N.Y. – Morehead State (7-3) takes its five-game winning streak to Upstate New York for a 2 p.m. ET matchup with Canisius (2-6) on Saturday at Koessler Athletic Center.
The Eagles are coming off a rousing 20-point comeback win at Evansville on Dec. 10, taking down the Purple Aces 82-75.
Darianne Seward poured in 31 points while
Miranda Crockett added 25, earning Seward her first Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week award on Dec. 12. Crockett collected the honor for the first time in her career the week before.
Saturday's contest will be broadcast live on

Morehead State is set to tip off with Canisius for just the second time in school history. The Eagles won a 77-68 contest over the Golden Griffins last season at Johnson Arena.

Morehead State has won five games in a row for the first time since a nine-game winning streak in 2016-17.

On Dec. 12, Seward was named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
Tierra McGowan earned OVC Newcomer of the Week honors for the third consecutive week and the fourth time this season. Crockett was named OVC Player of the Week for the first time in her career on Dec. 5.
