Women's hoops seeks seventh straight victory in road tilt at St. Francis Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Coming off its fifth win of at least 20 points this season, Morehead State women's basketball (8-3) is set to battle St. Francis Brooklyn (4-6) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET in the Big Apple.

The Eagles won a decisive 76-52 contest over Canisius last Saturday, led by former Howard transfer Erin Blaine. The 5-foot-11 forward notched a game-high 16 points, eight rebounds, and two steals in 22 minutes. Three other Eagles – Miranda Crockett (14), Darianne Seward (11), and Tierra McGowan (10) – scored in double-figures, while Eriel McKee and Brooke Todd added nine points each.

Morehead State is seeking a seventh consecutive victory, including its fourth straight away from home. After Tuesday's matchup with the Terriers, the Eagles are slated for three more road tilts before returning to Johnson Arena on Jan. 4.

McKee, Seward, and Crockett respectively rank first, second, and third in the Ohio Valley Conference in steals, both in total and per-game average. McKee ranks 12th in the nation with 37 steals on the season.

With 191 career blocked shots, Todd needs just 15 more to surpass Tasha Gales (205) for the second-highest total in school history.
