GAME NOTES
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – After opening Ohio Valley Conference play 1-0 for the second straight season, Morehead State women's basketball (10-4) ends a seven-game road stint at Jacksonville State (7-5, 1-0 OVC) on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.
The Eagles defeated Tennessee Tech 74-67 last Thursday, following a non-conference slate in which Morehead State won nine games for only the second time since 2001-02. Jacksonville State beat Eastern Kentucky 65-51 at Pete Mathews Coliseum the same evening.
Each member of the Eagles' starting five enters the weekend with a double-digit scoring average, led by Preseason All-OVC guard
Miranda Crockett at 14.7 points per game.
Tierra McGowan anchors Morehead State down low with 12.1 rebounds, the eighth-best mark in the nation.
Saturday's contest will be broadcast live on the OVC Digital Network.
