Women's hoops aims to bounce back on Thursday at Southeast Missouri

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Coming off its first double-digit loss to an unranked opponent last Saturday, Morehead State women's basketball (11-6, 2-2 Ohio Valley Conference) travels to Southeast Missouri (7-9, 2-2 OVC) for a matchup with the Redhawks on Thursday at 6:15 p.m. ET.

The Eagles dropped a 66-51 contest to SIUE at Johnson Arena last weekend. Senior forward Brooke Todd swatted two shots in 25 minutes off the bench, tying Tasha Gales' career total of 205 for the second-most blocks in program history.

Morehead State defeated SEMO 82-72 at the Show Me Center last season. Darianne Seward, in her first campaign as the MSU starting point guard, notched a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double a year ago.

Thursday's game will be broadcast live on the OVC Digital Network.

FAMILIAR FOES
Morehead State-Southeast Missouri has been a competitive head-to-head matchup since SEMO joined the Ohio Valley Conference in 1991-92. The Redhawks lead the all-time series 22-18, but Morehead State won an 82-72 contest in Cape Girardeau, Mo. last season.
