Women's basketball seeks fifth win in six games on Saturday at Austin Peay

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Coming off back-to-back wins in the latest stretch of a five-game swing decided by a total of 14 points, Morehead State women's basketball (15-7, 6-3 Ohio Valley Conference) will square off with Austin Peay (12-8, 5-4 OVC) on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. ET.

Miranda Crockett hit a game-winning layup with 2.2 seconds remaining in last Thursday's 82-80 win at Murray State, propelling the Eagles to their fourth victory in five games. Crockett led all Morehead State scorers with 22, though Eriel McKee (19), Erin Blaine (15), Brooke Todd (12), and Breuna Jackson (11) each contributed double-digit scoring outputs.

At 6-3, the Eagles are tied for third place in the OVC standings. Austin Peay sits just one game behind in a three-way tie for fifth. Morehead State defeated the Governors 81-71 on the road last season.

Morehead State and Austin Peay are tied at 39 wins apiece in the all-time head-to-head matchup. The Eagles won an 81-71 contest in Clarksville last season.
