RESULTS
LEXINGTON, Ky. -- In a match contested at the University of Kentucky, the Morehead State rifle team battled Murray State Sunday. The Eagles fired a 4629 aggregate total, which was the third best in 10 matches this season.
Murray State claimed the match with a 4720 total.
In air rifle, all seven Morehead State shooters carded a 575 or better. Freshman
Ryan Hinson led the way with a 588, followed closely by sophomore
Karly Potts with a 587. JuniorÂ
Siarra Crum also equaled the 580 mark. For Hinson, it was his second highest air total in his first collegiate season.
Senior
Seth Baker topped the Eagles in smallbore with his second-best tally of the year at 579. Hinson nearly had a perfect prone total at 198, shooting a 100 on his first go-around. Senior
Dan Hall and Baker also tallied 100's on their first prone target.
Also in air, Potts and sophomore
Jesse Moyer shot 100's on their third and fourth attempts, respectively.
The OVC air rifle and smallbore championships will take place in Murray next weekend.
