MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Looking to get back on the successful track, the Morehead State men's basketball team returns to Johnson Arena (where it is a perfect 4-0 in 2017-18) for an Ohio Valley Conference matchup with Eastern Illinois Thursday at 6 p.m. ET.

three-game flex pack which could include Thursday's doubleheader. The night will also feature hot dogs for only $1 at the concession stands.
Morehead State (4-9/0-2 OVC) will face at least a similar on-paper team in EIU, which is also 4-9 and 0-2 in the league. In their four home games so far, the Eagles have averaged 93 points per game and own a +20.5 scoring margin.

GAME NOTES
THE EASTERN ILLINOIS SERIES
Morehead State trails 24-14 in its all-time series with the Panthers, but the Eagles hold a 10-9 advantage in games played in Johnson Arena. Due to the OVC scheduling, the teams have only played once a year since 2011-12. The Eagles claimed an 85-75 win at home last season.
OH YES THEY CALL IT THE STREAK
Sophomore guard
Jordan Walker is one of the most accurate free throw shooters in the OVC (.885), and he enters today's game having drilled 26 consecutive free throws in the last six games. The OVC (and MSU) record is 46 by Glen Napier in 1981-82.
WE MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE
Morehead State is 9-2 in Ohio Valley Conference home openers in the last 11 seasons. In the last 25 seasons, the Eagles are 14-11 in their league home opener.
A DOUBLE DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Sophomore forward
Londell King opened conference play with back-to-back double-doubles at Tech and Jacksonville State, averaging 15.0 points and 13.0 rebounds. He ranks second in the conference now in rebounding in league contests.
HENSON'S CONSISTENCY
Sophomore guard
Djimon Henson has scored in double-digits in nine of the last 11 games, including a 23-point day against Alice Lloyd (Ky.) and a 22-point night at Butler.
KING OF THE HILL
In the four home games,
Londell King so far has averaged 12.7 points and 7.7 rebounds.
HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS
Morehead State has won seven of its last eight home games since the middle portion of the 2016-17 season. The Eagles are 4-0 in Johnson Arena this season.
LONG RANGE BOMBERS
In the past five games, Morehead State has drilled 42 three-pointers or 8.4 per game. In the first eight games the Eagles only recorded one double-digit three-point night, but they have nailed 10 or more twice in the last three games.Â
