Women's hoops brings three-game win streak back to Johnson Arena for matchup with TSU

MOREHEAD, Ky. – After adding two road victories to what is now a three-game win streak, Morehead State women's basketball (16-7, 7-3 Ohio Valley Conference) returns to Johnson Arena for the first installment of a three-game home stand versus Tennessee State (4-15, 2-8 OVC) on Thursday at 5:15 p.m. ET.
The Eagles most recently defeated the Governors of Austin Peay 66-59 on Saturday in Clarksville, Tenn., led by 21 points and eight rebounds from newly minted OVC Player of the Week
Miranda Crockett.
Brooke Todd, who has started the last five games in place of the injured
Tierra McGowan, logged 10 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocks in the win.
Thursday's game marks Morehead State's participation in the Morehead Community Soup Kitchen's Community Can Food Competition, where fans can earn up to $5 off the price of admission by bringing canned food items to donate to the worthy cause. Discounted access includes entry to men's basketball's matchup with Tennessee State at 7:30 p.m.

OVC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
On Jan. 30,
Miranda Crockett was named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season. The Preseason All-OVC honoree became the Eagles' first recipient of the award on Dec. 5, while
Darianne Seward garnered the title the following week on Dec. 12.
MADNESS OVC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
On Jan. 29, Crockett was named Madness OVC Player of the Week by College Sports Madness. Crockett joins Seward (Dec. 11) and
Tierra McGowan (Dec. 4) as the third Morehead State player honored this season.
SENIOR LEADER
With 61 blocks on the season,
Brooke Todd passes Tasha Gales (57) for the most single-season blocks by a senior in Morehead State history.
JANUARY HEROES
Morehead State ended the month of January with a 6-2 record, including a five-game stretch decided by a total of 14 points.
ROAD WARRIORS
Morehead State ties a program record with 10 true road wins, accomplishing the feat for just the third time in school history and the first time since 1979-80. The Eagles are one of only four teams in NCAA Division I with at least 10 road wins this season.
