MOREHEAD, Ky.– The Morehead State women's basketball team will square off with NAIA foe Alice Lloyd (Ky.) on Tuesday morning in the final game of the Vinewood Farm Classic. The battle between the Eagles will tip off at 11:05 a.m. ET at Johnson Arena.
 
The Eagles enter the contest after suffering their first defeat of the season on Sunday against St. Francis Brooklyn. The Terriers came away with a 101-94 in a back-and-forth affair.
 
Morehead State enters the matchup with a 4-1 record. The Eagles are led in scoring by senior guard 
Miranda Crockett who is averaging 22.4 points per game and shooting .595 percent from the field. The Martinsville, Virginia, native is coming off a career game on Friday after scoring 30 points in a 68-62 win over Valparaiso.
 
The game will serve as the education day game as hundreds of K-12 students will pack the arena for the game. Morehead State will also be recognizing the hard work of its' faculty and staff by offering $1.00 hot dogs and soft drinks to MSU employees in attendance.

BATTLE OF THE BIRDS
Morehead State is 2-0 all-time against Alice Lloyd (Ky.) in a series that dates back to 2007-08. ALC, whose athletic teams are also represented by the "Eagles" moniker, last came to Johnson Arena on Nov. 15, 2016, and were defeated 92-42.
 
1,000 REASONS DARIANNE SEWARD ROCKS
With three points in Tuesday's game against Alice Lloyd, Senior 
Darianne Seward will reach the 1,000-point club. Seward scored 355 points her freshman season at Detroit Mercy and has added 642 the last three seasons in the blue & gold.
 
MIRANDA MOVES UP
Miranda Crockett eclipsed 1,300 points and moved into the 16
th all-time position in MSU scoring history after dropping 70 points combined over a three-game slate this past weekend. Crockett passed Kelly Downs (1986-90) for the 16
th position on the all-time scoring list.  The senior enters the day with 1,326 point all-time.
