Women's basketball heads to No. 24 Belmont for last road tilt of regular season

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Taking on the Ohio Valley Conference's first nationally ranked opponent in 25 years, Morehead State women's basketball (19-9, 10-5 OVC) tips off at No. 24 Belmont (25-3, 15-0 OVC) on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.

The Eagles are fresh off a 71-69 win at Tennessee State last Thursday, led by 19 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals in a game-high 40 minutes from Miranda Crockett. Erin Blaine (16), Breuna Jackson (11), and Eriel McKee (10) also scored in double-digits, though Brooke Todd made both the game-winning layup and game-saving block with under a minute to go.

Last Thursday's win was Morehead State's 11th of the season, marking a new program record. Saturday's road tilt will be the Eagles' last of the regular season.

GAME NOTES

THIRD TIME'S THE CHARM
Morehead State is facing its third nationally ranked opponent of the season, posting an 0-2 record thus far.

OWN THE CITY
Morehead State is looking to sweep its three visits to Nashville this season, having beaten Lipscomb 75-55 on Dec. 2 and Tennessee State 71-69 last Thursday.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
Last Thursday's victory at Tennessee State marked Morehead State's 11th road win of the season, the most in school history.

NO BREAKS
Miranda Crockett played all 40 minutes in last Thursday's win, bringing her season total to a conference-best 59,580.

TODD FOR THE WIN!
Brooke Todd nailed a game-winning layup with 35 seconds remaining last Thursday, then denied Tennessee State's attempt at the basket with a game-saving block with eight seconds to go.
