NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Morehead State men's basketball team ran into a red-hot player in Belmont's Dylan Windler on Saturday night. The Eagles dropped a 108-65 contest at the Curb Event Center.
Windler had 26 points and 14 rebounds by halftime and finished with 36 markers and 20 boards.
"We tried to put a number of guys on him and tried to get in gaps, but he is a tremendous player," said head coach
Preston Spradlin. "I was more pleased that we didn't try to shoot even with them like we did in the last game. We tried to drive the ball more tonight instead of trying more three-pointers, but unfortunately we didn't shoot the ball well tonight."
Sophomore guard
Jordan Walker led the Eagles with 21 points, his 16
th double-figure game in 2017-18. Junior
Lamontray Harris finished with 11, while sophomore
Alonzo Chatman scored a career-high 10 points. Freshman
Malek Green also chipped in 10 points.
Morehead State trailed just 14-12 with 10:05 left in the first half, but an 18-6 run pushed the Bruin lead out to 32-18.
