MOREHEAD, Ky. – After defeating the Redhawks on last-second heroics from
Eriel McKee last month, Morehead State women's basketball (17-8, 8-4 Ohio Valley Conference) looks to complete its second sweep of an OVC opponent this season with Southeast Missouri (11-13, 6-6 OVC) on Thursday at 5:15 p.m. ET.
Running into a double-team with the clock's final seconds ticking away and the game tied at 56,
Darianne Seward miraculously found McKee perched behind the three-point line for a long-range jumper as the clock expired on Jan. 11 at the Show Me Center. The ball swished through the net and propelled the Eagles to a 59-56 victory, marking a win at Southeast Missouri for the second consecutive season.
Morehead State is coming off its most lopsided loss of the conference season last weekend at the hands of Belmont, snapping a four-game winning streak. Thursday's matchup will be broadcast live on the
OVC Digital Network.
