Beach Volleyball to Host Kentucky's First NCAA Division I Match
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State beach volleyball is set to make history on Monday afternoon. After becoming the first NCAA Division I sanctioned beach volleyball program in the state of Kentucky last season, the Eagles are set to host the state's first NCAA DI sanctioned matches.

Morehead State (0-5) will host traditional Ohio Valley Conference rival Austin Peay (5-8) in dual matches at Fazoli's Breadstick Beach at 1 and 3 p.m. ET. A special ribbon cutting ceremony for Fazoli's Breadstick Beach, with campus and local officials, will take place at 12:30 p.m.

The meeting will mark the second time the two traditional indoor rivals have met in the sand. The Governors defeated the Eagles 4-1 at last season's Governor Beach Bash hosted by Austin Peay.

The Eagles enter play having captured four flight pairings on the season, taking two each against Webber International (Fla.) and Florida Southern. Morehead State's pairings of junior Jordan Jones and freshman Lauren Rokey and junior Maddie Fella and redshirt sophomore Danielle McCarson have captured two flights apiece on the year.
