Program Records Established as Beach Volleyball Concludes Principia College Quad
ELSAH, Ill. – For the second consecutive day, Morehead State (2-9) beach volleyball secured a win at the Principia College Quad. The Eagles defeated Ottawa (Kan.) 4-1, but dropped a 5-0 contest to Stevenson (Md.), finishing the event 2-2.

MOREHEAD STATE 4, OTTAWA 1
Flight pairings 2-5 each captured victories for Morehead State en route to a 4-1 victory over Ottawa (Kan.). All four pairings for the Eagles won in straight sets.

The Eagles' secondary pairing of sophomore Chandler Clark and freshman Olivia Lohmeir swept their matches, picking up their second flight victory of the season. The third pairing of junior Alyssa Cecil and sophomore Karlee Reynolds captured their third flight victory of the season and the seventh of their careers, establishing a program-best mark.

In their first match of the season out of the number four flight, junior Maddie Fella and redshirt sophomore Danielle McCarson captured their fifth flight victory of the year. The fifth victory establishes a program-best mark for flight victories in season. The victory also marks the sixth for the pairing of Fella and McCarson in their careers.

Junior Jordan Jones paired with redshirt junior Jess Hall to sweep the fifth flight for Morehead State. The Eagles' primary pairing of redshirt junior Jessie Wachtman and sophomore Liz Allen forced extra points in the first set and captured the second, before dropping the final set 15-13.

STEVENSON 5, MOREHEAD STATE 0
In the final match of the Principia College Quad, the Eagles dropped their finale to Stevenson (Md.) 5-0. The Eagles' pairings of Wachtman and Allen and Cecil and Reynolds each forced extra sets in their flights, ultimately dropping the flights.

The Eagles kept the same lineup from their first match of the day, as pairings of Clark and Lohmeier, Fella and McCarson, and Jones and Hall each succumbed in straight sets.

NEXT UP
Morehead State returns to action next Friday as it travels to traditional Ohio Valley Conference rival Austin Peay, competing in the Ohio Valley Challenge. The Eagles will face host Austin Peay and Carson-Newman (Tenn.) on Friday and Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) and Spring Hill (Ala.) on Saturday.
