MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State rifle, women's track and field and women's golf programs have earned the 2017-18 Ohio Valley Conference Team Academic Achievement Awards.

The awards are presented to the conference teams with the highest percentage of eligible student-athletes earning a 3.25 or higher grade point average for the academic year and on the league's Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Rifle and women's track and field now have won three consecutive honors, while women's golf won it for the second straight year and third in the last four. Since this awards program inception in 2004-05, Morehead State has now earned 40 team academic awards.

Track and field placed 15 on the honor roll, while the rifle program had seven student-athletes on the OVC Commissioner's Roll. Women's golf had six. In the classroom, golf earned a 3.62 team GPA.

Track and field finished with a 3.51 team GPA, while rifle concluded with a 3.39.
