MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Morehead State women's basketball team will play its home-opening Ohio Valley Conference game on Thursday evening against Southeast Missouri. The Eagles and Redhawks are scheduled to tip-off at 5:05 p.m. ET at Johnson Arena.
Morehead State enters the matchup coming off a record-setting 85-62 win over Tennessee State. The Eagles are currently 11-6 overall and 2-2 in OVC play.
Junior guard
Aliyah Jeune paces MSU in scoring with a conference-best average of 19.3 points per game. Senior guard
Miranda Crockett follows closely with the third-best average in the OVC at 18.1 points per game.
Southeast Missouri comes to Morehead with a 7-8 overall mark and a 2-2 split through their first four conference games. Last time out the Redhawks fell to Murray State 64-59.
SEMO is led by sophomore guard Tesia Thompson who nets a team-best 16.9 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and broadcast on the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety Eagle Sports Network 96.3-FM WIVY.

BATTLE OF THE BIRDS
The Morehead State Eagles & the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks will meet for the 43rd time on Thursday. The visiting Redhawks own a 22-20 advantage in the series overall.

Miranda Crockett sank a go-ahead jumper in the lane with under thirty seconds remaining to catapult MSU to the win.
LAST TIME OUT
The Eagles' 85-62 win over Tennessee State marked the team's largest margin of victory ever over the Tigers when playing in Nashville. The 85 points also marked the eighth time of the 2018-19 season that MSU has scored 80+ points. The Eagles only reached the 80-point milestone nine times in 2017-18.

Greg Todd won his 75th game as the head coach at Morehead State with is team's 85-62 triumph at Tennessee State on Saturday. Todd, who is in his fifth season at the helm, is one victory away from tying former coach Laura Litter for third in all-time wins at MSU. Litter won 76 games in eight seasons at MSU from 1997-2005
CROCKETT'S LAST EXPEDITION

Miranda Crockett has scored in double figures in 22-consecutive games dating back to last season (Feb.15, 2018 at Tennessee State). The guard's 14-point outing Saturday against Tennessee State raised her career-points tally to 1,522 points which is ninth all-time in MSU history. The guard is also fourth in career steals in the MSU record book with 207 swipes.
