MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State men's basketball has a weekend in store in the Music City as the Eagles are at Belmont and Tennessee State. The road trip opens at Belmont Thursday evening when the Eagles and Bruins square off a the Curb Events Center at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Morehead State (4-11/0-2) will be searching for its first road win in 2018-19 and the first win ever at the Curb Center. The Eagles fell at Murray State and Austin Peay to open league action last weekend. Belmont (10-3/1-1) lost its OVC opener for the first time in history last weekend against Jacksonville State before responding with a 12-point win over Tennessee Tech.
The game will air live on WIVY-96.3 FM and ESPN+.
GAME NOTES
THE SERIES WITH THE BRUINS
Morehead State trails 11-2 in the all-time series with the Bruins. Both the wins have come at home as the Eagles are still searching for their first-ever triumph in the Curb Event Center where they are 0-6.
LAST YEAR AGAINST BELMONT
HOME GAME - Despite cutting a 17-point deficit down to single digits in the second half, Morehead State men's basketball absorbed an 83-73 defeat to Belmont.
Djimon Henson cracked double-figures with 14 in an off-the-bench role.
Malek Green came up with 10 rebounds as the Eagles were only slightly out-boarded 36-35. ROAD GAME -
Jordan Walker led the Eagles with 21 points, his 16th double-figure game in 2017-18. Junior
Lamontray Harris finished with 11, but Dylan Windler had 36 points and 20 rebounds in the Bruins' 108-65 victory.

3-POINT STREAK LIVES ON
Morehead State has hit at least one three-pointer in 387 consecutive games, dating back to 2007 when the Eagles were held without a made one from beyond the arc against Jacksonville State.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE TOIL AND TROUBLE
Lamontray Harris collected his sixth double-double of the season at Missouri and now has 14 of the stat variety in his four-year career. Harris ranks second among the league players with 8.6 rebounds per game.
1,000 IN SIGHT
Lamontray Harris has a legitimate chance to reach 1,000 career points if he can keep up his average this season. He has piled up 883 career points. With a minimum of 16 games remaining (more if the Eagles play in the OVC Tournament and beyond), he would only need to average 8.0 points to reach that milestone. Harris would be the 33rd member of the 1,000 career point club in program history.
COUNT ON HIM
A.J. Hicks has dished out at least one assist in all 44 games of his two-year career. This season he ranks third in the OVC with 70 total helpers and has nine games with at least five assists.
GREEN WITH ENVY
Sophomore forward
Malek Green produced his second double-double in the previous four games with 15 points and a career-high 13 rebounds at Austin Peay. He averages 4.2 defensive rebounds per outing.
AIR JORDAN
Jordan Walker is one of only a handful of OVC players to produce at least six games scoring 20 or more points. He is also only one of six OVC players to average more than 15 points per game as well.
FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE
Freshman forward
Sasha Sukhanov is the first Russian-born player to suit up for the Eagle program. By way of Teays Valley (W.Va.) Christian School, Sukhanov scored a season-high six points against Kentucky Christian.
THE NEWEST EAGLES
Morehead State signed three players in the early signing period. The newest Eagles set to join in 2019-20 are forward Julius Dixon (Fayetteville, Tenn.), guard Ta'lon Cooper (Spartanburg, S.C.) and power forward Tyzhaun Claude (Goldsboro, N.C.).
